trader joe’s steak sandwiches
Servings: 4
Our guest contributor Anna Lisa shared these 5 ingredient sandwiches with us and they are outstanding! Not to mention they use one of my favorite Trader Joe's shortcut ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 package cooked beef roast
- 1 package ciabatta rolls substitute baguette
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 yellow onion thinly sliced
- 1 package boursin garlic & herb cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet and add in the 1 sliced onion. Sauté them until they are golden brown and caramelized, adding a teaspoon of water every few minutes and stirring periodically. This should take about 10-15 minutes.
- Stir in ¼ cup balsamic vinegar and pre-sliced roast. Pour in all of the juices from the package of the sirloin and toss, heating through for about 5 min.
- Season with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes (if desired) and stir to combine.
- In the meantime, slice the baguettes, drizzling some olive oil on the inside, and heat in a 400°F oven for 4-7 min.
- Remove from the oven and spread a generous layer of the Boursin cheese on the baguette, add the beef and caramelized onions, and top it with the other slice to close.
SERVING SUGGESTION
- Serve with my favorite green salad and a side of oven crispy french fries.
