Super Bowl Recipe Round Up

January 30, 2019

Some people look forward to the Super Bowl for the football, for other’s it’s the commercials or halftime show, but for me, it’s ALWAYS been the food! After a month of recovery from the holidays and eating healthy to reset some habits, I’m ready to indulge in a Super Bowl spread. Give me all the wings, chili, and snack boards! Below is a roundup of more than 15 of my favorite recipes for the occasion.

BUFFALO WINGS with BLUE CHEESE DIPPING SAUCE

If I only eat wings once a year, it’s on Super Bowl Sunday. I love this classic buffalo recipe with a creamy blue cheese dipping sauce, but I also like my Honey Hoisin Glazed Wings for something with a bit more flair.

CUMIN-SCENTED BAKED RIBS

This recipe is consistently a hit with family and friends. These fall-off-the-bone ribs have a secret spice ingredient – cumin! They’re so easy to make in the oven and perfectly messy for the occasion. For another unique ribs recipe, try my Spiced Cocoa Rub Ribs. YUM!

HONEY BAKED HAM SLIDERS

This is actually what I’m bringing this year! I love these sliders because they’re slightly sweet and a hit with kids and adults alike. They’re easy to make for a crowd and mildly addicting. (You’ve been warned!)

BAKED POTATO SNACK BOARD SUPPER

For a really easy approach to feeding a crowd over football try this Baked Potato Snack Board Supper. Simply roast off a bunch of potatoes and assign your guests to bring toppings like chives, cheddar cheese, bacon, and sour cream. For other snack board ideas check out this roundup!

COCOA BEAN CHILI

Nothing beats Chili and Cornbread this time of year. It’s super easy to make a big batch and keep it warm in your slow cooker or Instant Pot. This recipe is delicious with a hint of cocoa powder that adds depth of flavor, but I also love my classic Game Day Chili as well.

MARINATED VEGGIE KEBABS WITH HALLOUMI

If you’re hoping to fire up the grill consider throwing on some Marinated Veggie Kebabs with Halloumi Cheese. Halloumi cheese can be grilled making it firm on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavor profile is similar to feta and crazy delicious.

SWEET + SOUR BBQ CHICKEN

If you’re passing on pork and wings this year, maybe Sweet + Sour Chicken is calling your name. This is my favorite way to eat chicken thighs and drumsticks for casual entertaining. My Instant Pot BBQ Chicken Sliders are another great option!

SWEET POTATO CAULIFLOWER TACOS

Maybe you’ve got a bunch of football loving fans that are vegetarians! If so, these Sweet Potato Cauliflower Tacos and my Black Bean and Sweet Potato Nachos are perfect for game day. If it’s the meat you’re after when it comes to tacos, try my Sheet Pan Carnitas or Chile Lime Tacos.

SMOKED PULLED PORK SANDWICHES WITH RAINBOW SLAW

This is one of those recipes that I made 6 months ago and STILL think about! We love our Traeger for smoking meat and this pulled pork is a recipe that’s unforgettable!

ANTIPASTI SALAD PIZZA

For a healthier option, try my Antipasti Salad Pizza. Every bit as satisfying, just a bit lighter. (and did I mention how beautiful it looks on the table!)

ROASTED ARTICHOKE DIP

This roundup wouldn’t be complete without a DIP! So here it is…my favorite dip of all time, my Roasted Artichoke Dip. It’s classic, addictive, and perfect for noshing on while watching the game.
