July 4th Crafts Round-up

July 1, 2020

You probably know by now that I’m all about fun and easy holiday crafts. This year with baseball tournaments, family visiting, and trips to the beach we’ve been so busy! If the weather isn’t beautiful by you and your kiddos are stuck inside looking for something fun, here are my favorite craft ideas from around the internet. Perfect for an Independence Day crafternoon with your kids!

Let the Fireworks begin!

This activity by Crafty Morning is perfect for my three kids who are OBSESSED with painting right now. I love Michelle’s idea of using straws as a stamp. If you don’t have straws on hand you could apply the same technique with a smushed end of a toilet paper or paper towel roll.

Finger Painting

Jennifer at A Dab of Glue Will Do has this great idea for Fourth of July themed finger painting! Ever since we did the Easter Finger Painting craft, Nora has been begging to do more. I love the idea of using non-toxic, washable finger paint on top of the star stencils and just letting baby Penny go crazy! So cute, simple, and fun.

Ooooo! Ahhhhh!

We could all use some more motor skills practice over here, so I love this Cardboard Firework from Crystal at Our Kid Things. She has 4 kids so she really knows how to make a range of crafts for littles and big kids too. Ollie will definitely be into this. So easy to recreate regardless of what materials you have on hand– get creative with it!

What crafts do you love to do during the summer, or are you more into swimming and bubbles? Let me know in the comments below!
