Easy Cinnamon Roll Hearts
January 30, 2021
This Valentine’s Day breakfast idea couldn’t be any easier. Store-bought cinnamon rolls from the refrigerator aisle are shaped into hearts for a perfectly easy Cinnamon Roll Hearts to celebrate the holiday.

Easy Peasy Breakfast
There’s no question that I love being festive, but we lead crazy, full lives like many of you and there’s not always time to make a holiday themed recipe from scratch. That’s why I always like to have a couple of recipes that are super simple and utilize store-bought ingredients. Consider this literally…a ONE ingredient recipe. One can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls can be turned into these lovely hearts by simply unrolling and reshaping.
Ready, set, reshape
This is so simple that it can easily be done with young helpers in the kitchen. I’ve found that there are certain brands of refrigerated cinnamon rolls that this works best with, like the Pillsbury Grands Flaky Cinnamon rolls. the size is great and they’re really easy to unroll.
After unrolling into one large strip, start on both ends and coil them up until they meet in the middle. From there, pinch the point at the bottom of the heart and transfer to a sheet pan.
Bake and Drizzle
From there you follow the same directions that that you would for making these the standard way. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked all the way through. I like to drizzle the icing in a zig zag pattern after they’ve cooled slightly. I always think they’re best when served warm. You can also apply this same technique to make Cinnamon Roll Hearts with a homemade cinnamon roll recipe as well.

Easy Cinnamon Roll Hearts
Description
Store-bought cinnamon rolls from the refrigerator aisle are shaped into hearts for a perfectly easy and themed breakfast to celebrate the holiday.
Ingredients
-
1 can (13 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing (I use the Pillsbury Flaky Cinnamon Rolls)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly coat a sheet pan with non-stick cooking spray or use a non-stick sheet pan.
- Carefully unroll each cinnamon roll into long strip of dough, leaving center tucked in. Coil the unrolled end of each strip in toward center, until they meet, making the shape of a heart. Slightly pinch the bottom of the heart to make a point. Transfer to sheet pan.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before transferring to a cooling rack. Drizzle frosting over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
You can do this same technique with my Homemade Cinnamon Roll Recipe.
Sara Says
Is that just one giant cinnamon roll that makes one heart?! It looks so much bigger than the grands flaky rolls usually look!
