Chocolate Fondue Board

February 9, 2018

I can’t think of anything more perfect for Valentine’s Day than FONDUE! Whether you’re making dinner at home for Valentine’s Day with a savory cheese fondue or finishing things off with a sweet dessert fondue, this is a yearly tradition I can get behind. I finally ordered an electric fondue pot and we’ve already used it 3 times since it arrived last week (including queso that I made for the Super Bowl). It’s such a fun small appliance to have on hand and I can’t wait to dip away with my family on a day where we’ll celebrate L.O.V.E!

Chocolate Fondue Board

  • Author: kelsey nixon
  • Yield: 10 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (13.5 oz. can) coconut milk (do not shake)
  • 1 (14 oz. can) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Fruit for dipping, such as strawberries, pineapple, and grapes

Instructions

Prepare a double boiler: Simmer a few inches of water in a saucepan and place a large heatproof bowl over the pan making sure that the bowl is not touching the water.

Pour the coconut milk and sweetened condensed milk in bowl and let it melt, stirring, until smooth.

Add the chocolate chips and vanilla to the bowl and let melt, stirring occasionally, until smooth and creamy. Pour the chocolate into a fondue pot.

Serve with fondue picks or bamboo skewers. Dip the fruit in the chocolate.

Notes

*I prepared my fondue using an electric fondue pot, but this method works well if you don’t own one.

This is my favorite electric fondue pot!
