Buffalo Wings in the Air Fryer
December 6, 2017
Whether fueling up to enjoy the big game or wanting a homemade substitute to your dine-in favorite, buffalo wings come together quickly and easily

Homemade for Halftime and Anytime
Recently chicken wings have found their way onto my list of favorite foods to cook at home. Call me a late bloomer, but I just never considered making these at home until the last couple of years—and when I did, I really fell for them. Who knew that they were so easy, versatile, and beloved by all? Their laid back nature makes them perfect for watching the big game, having friends over, or throwing together a quick casual meal for my husband and me.
To Fry or Not to Fry
This recipe has a great balance of sweet and heat, and the honey adds a nice, sticky glaze. This broil and toss method is a great method—it’s quick and cleanup is a cinch. Plus, this method cuts down on calories without sacrificing flavor and that perfect crispy chicken wing bite.
Another way I LOVE making wings is in the Air Fryer. Simply prep wings with salt and pepper and place in oiled fryer basket so they’re not touching. Cook at 375 for 10 minutes, flip and cook for another 10 minutes. Finish by bumping up the heat to 400 and cooking for another 5 minutes. While cooking, mix together the sauce as indicated in the recipe below. Once the wings come out of the air fryer, toss the wings with the sauce to coat in a large bowl and serve with the dressing on the side.
Dip it Good
You simply can’t do wings without a blue cheese companion. The buttermilk blue cheese dressing/dipping sauce is a classic, cool accompaniment to the kick of the wings. This dip is so good, your kids will be sure to finish any celery you put out with it!
